How the Upside Index Score Works

Every prospect gets a UI Score (0-100) based on college production quality, volume, efficiency, positional performance, and historical NFL outcomes for that position. Higher = better NFL prospect profile.

Generational (98.5+) — Extremely rare unicorn tier reserved for once-in-a-cycle prospects.

Blue Chip (95.0–98.4) — Rare position-leading prospect profile aligned to historical apex reference traits, not forced player names.

Elite (90.0–94.9) — Strong first-round caliber prospect.

R1 Contender (85.0–89.9) — Bubble Round 1 / strong early-Day-2 range.

Day 2 Prospect (78.0–84.9) — Solid Day 2 starter-upside profile.

Late Round (70.0–77.9) — Draftable, but volatile.

UDFA Risk (60.0–69.9) — Historically this range behaves much more like camp-battle territory than a clean draft bucket.

Fringe (47–64.9) — UDFA / camp invite range.

Developmental (<47) — Practice squad / raw talent / limited sample.
